Tanner Dance

A thirst for knowledge and focused integrity are two key principles Tanner lives his life by. He is responsible for developing, creating, and managing the investment strategies at Andina Advisors. He also manages the research team and is the chairman of the internal investment committee. These roles include oversight of the Andina’s due diligence and monitoring processes.

Tanner started his career in this industry in 2013 at Northwestern Mutual as an intern, then moved to Adam’s Wealth Advisors beginning of 2014 where he began as the director of trading and research, then in late 2014 to 2019 he took over all portfolio management responsibilities. In 2020, he joined Ryan Bohm in to create Core Capital Wealth Management.

Tanner is a CFA® Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst). The CFA designation is designed to demonstrate a strong foundation in advanced investment analysis and portfolio management, accompanied with a strict emphasis in ethical practice. A Charterholder is held to the highest ethical standards. Fewer than one in five candidates become a CFA Charterholder as it takes over 1000 hours of rigorous study and four years of professional experience to successfully complete the program. He translates his strong understanding of advanced investment theory and real-world portfolio management skills into thoughtful and sophisticated investment management.

Tanner has deep roots in the Northern Utah Area and is a third generation in the financial industry following Harold and Brad Dance. He holds a degree in Finance from the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University with a minor in Financial Planning. Tanner and his wife Paige are busy with their three children. Tanner, as a former division 1 athlete, loves the game of tennis as a player and a coach. Tanner also enjoys golf, skiing, reading anything market-related, traveling, and learning new things.
